In episode 99, I catch up with Australia’s greatest-ever general classification rider, 2011 Tour de France winner and World Champion, Cadel Evans. Cadel begins by explaining the origins of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and explains the difficulties of putting on a bike race in 2024. We then turn our attention to which riders in the modern-day peloton excite Cadel and discuss the likes of Mathieu van der Poel, Pogacar, Pidcock and more. Cadel weighs in on Jai Hindley’s current contract talks and provides insight into what Jai may consider about his future from his own experiences.
